Frequently asked questions about how the magic happens.
• What does product photography cost?
Our projects start at $265 complete. This includes a primary view and a close-up/detail shot of one product. That's two distinct photographs delivered as high-res JPEG files. View detailed pricing here.
• What if my product is sold in pairs, multiple parts or packages?
That's no problem. A pair of whiskey glasses, for instance, counts as a single product when photographed together. We're reasonable—or at least we try to be.
• How long does it take?
After submitting your order, most requests receive instant confirmation. More complex projects receive expert review and a reply within 24 hours.
Once your product arrives in our studio, photography is completed within 3 business days. Finished image files are delivered by digital download (a link will be emailed) one day after that.
• What if I don't like the photographs?
You'll like the photographs. We guarantee it. So if for any reason you don't like the photographs you'll get your money back. You can't use the photos, though. Doing so would be deliberate copyright infringement, it would be caught by our tracking software and would most definitely be frowned upon by those of us working hard to make great photos for you, as well as by the judge who will most certainly rule in our favor and award damages far in excess of the reasonable fees we charge for our services. So to recap: If you don't like the pictures, you don't pay. But if you don't pay, you are prohibited from using the images we create for any purpose whatsoever. Fair is fair.
• Will you send my product back when you're done?
If you include a prepaid shipping label and reusable packing materials, we'll be happy to send your stuff back.
•Does the price include shipping?
No. The good news is you're free to ship your product to us however you see fit. The bad news is we're keeping your stuff unless you include a prepaid shipping label and reusable packing materials. See above.
• Do you retouch my images?
Yes. We take the same stance as Vidal Sassoon: If you don't look good, we don't look good. So every image is processed and improved by a human using Adobe Photoshop. That doesn't mean, however, we're going to perform a digital facelift on the janky product you sent. We'll do our best, really. But if you'll need some serious digital imaging, compositing or heavy-duty retouching, just make sure to let us know ahead of time.
• What if I want something special?
No problem. The bulk of our business is custom projects—from multiple-image compositing and digital imaging to incorporating human talent, hand models, food stylists and more. We're happy to produce a custom shoot to precisely meet your needs. Let us know what you have in mind and we'll be glad to help.
 • Can you accommodate high-volume product photography?
Yes. We've photographed projects that include dozens, hundreds, even thousands of products. Because the scope can vary greatly, get in touch to discuss the particulars and receive a custom quote.
 • Where are you located?
Our studio is in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Learn about our parent company, a family-owned business, here.
